“PEACE CDC, Inc., complies with all standards of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Children with special needs are not excluded from participation in any activities or programs unless, after an individualized assessment is completed, a reasonable accommodation cannot be made without fundamentally altering the program.”
PEACE CDC, INC. IN MIAMI PROVIDES A BOX OF NUTRITIOUS FOOD (WHEN AVAILABLE) TO FAMILIES IN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD WHO ARE EXPERIENCING JOB DISRUPTION, LOW INCOME OR IN NEED OF BASIC NEEDS.
FAMILIES RECEIVE A FOOD BOX WHICH CONTAINS:
meat products (when available)
Our after-school program provides healthy and safe activities to 60 children ages 5 through 18 in the area of Kendall, 90 children in West Kendall, and 75 children in the area of Homestead, with academic assistance from State Certified Reading Teachers and loving support staff, Instructors.
Program activities include reading/literacy instruction, physical fitness, social skills, arts and craft, outdoor activities, and homework assistance.
Because most of our program's parents are not native English speakers and have full-time jobs, they often cannot assist their children with school homework. We serve children of all abilities.
